US Diplomatic Residence in Oslo

Oslo Deputy Chief of Mission Residence Masterplan

The project consists in the preparation of a masterplan  after a site survey performed by Hollingsworth Pack and Post to determine the necessary architectural, accessibility and energy upgrades for the residence. The survey included research at the local architectural archives, a complete registration of the building condition and the digitalization of the general architectural drawings for the building as it exists today.

Several aspects were taken into consideration and researched, such as the historical background of the residence, the functionality of the residence given current requirements and conditions, and the operating costs & quality of the interior and exterior environment.

Separately, a matrix was prepared comparing the local codes and regulations with US codes and OBO Addenda to better assess the changes proposed in the report.
