US Consulate Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

Hollingsworth Pack, in partnership with local historical architect GRAS, is the architect for the modifications to the consulate waiting area within the listed US Consulate building in Edinburgh, Scotland. The scope of the project included the relocation of consular teller windows, the design of two privacy rooms, and the creation of an accessible restroom on the public side of the building.

The waiting room for the members of the public did not have the capacity required to accommodate the consulate's demand. In addition, it didn't ensure privacy in cases where it was necessary and lacked restroom facilities for customer use. To address these issues, we made enhancements to improve accessibility and provide better services for individuals with special needs were included. The project complies with the UK codes and standards, as well as the US code. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024.
