Refurbishment of the Royal Danish Embassy in Addis Ababa

Hollingsworth Pack is collaborating with the Danish Engineering firm EKJ, on the renovation and remodeling of the Danish Embassy compound in Addis Ababa.

The project includes the transformation of an existing compound into embassy facilities, with the renovation of four existing buildings, the construction of two new buildings, a Visa Office and a Control Access Center, and upgrades to perimeter security and access control systems. The project areas include approximately 1,090 m² across the main building, conference building, service building, CAC and Visa Office.

Our role includes architectural, BIM management and BIM modeling, supporting the project from design through construction. Acting as a link between stakeholders, government requirements, consultants and contractors, we have coordinated design information, code compliance with Danish standards, construction documentation and on-site implementation.

The project has been developed under a fast-track design and construction timeline. To support timely delivery and a high-quality result, we have worked closely with the contractors and local project team, providing ongoing coordination, model updates and technical support throughout the process.
