CDC Lusaka, Zambia

An extensive physical and security upgrade project for the CDC Lusaka, Zambia. The compound consists of an existing main office building, a second office building, a separate canteen building and two control access centers.

Hollingsworth Pack has been contracted to provide construction monitoring services on behalf of the CDC. The project consists of several physical security upgrades comprised of a new safe area within the existing main office building, two compound emergency sanctuaries at the smaller office building and a canteen.

The physical security work includes the addition of forced entry-ballistic resistant doors and windows, a new 60-minutes rated emergency back-up generator enclosure with a new 300 kW generator, retrofit of two control access centers and the provision and installation of crash rated drop arm barriers.

The technical security upgrades consist of new CCTV additions inside the buildings and the compound, emergency duress/intrusion detection, emergency notification system and access control. The project is slated for completion in January 2023.
