Hollingsworth Pack & Projects for Underserved Communities (PUC)

With support from Hollingsworth Pack, a team of engineering and social work students from The University of Texas at Austin, will be traveling to Suphan Buri, Thailand to equip the Bannonggo School with a well-functioning kitchen. The school has relied on other funds to cater meals every day for their students ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. Often times, the lunch received from the school is the only meal some of the students receive in a day, so a kitchen is necessary to provide these students with a proper nutritious meal in a sustainable manner. Projects with Underserved Communities (PUC) is a unique program at The University of Texas at Austin that combines the two challenges of community need and student enrichment in an innovative project-based, service-learning collaboration between Texas Global, the Cockrell School of Engineering, and the School of Social Work. Morgan Blumenthal is participating in PUC and is currently an engineering intern in our Austin office.
