Hollingsworth Pack was tasked to provide construction monitoring services and A/E Services for the Physical Security Upgrade (PSU) at the US Mission in Geneva, Switzerland. The construction monitoring services took place in a 20-month period, ending in 2007. Scott Hollingsworth moved to Geneva and performed all client representation on site. Services included arranging for access for the contractor, building permit and local relations, coordinating with the operations of the functioning diplomatic mission, construction quality assurance, weekly reporting to the client, weekly meetings with the contractor, review of submittals, fielding of RFIs, review and recommendations for payment requests and review of construction to ensure contract compliance.
The Department of State later determined that a vehicular mantrap was needed as a supplement to the completed upgrade. The modified task order included the design of the mantrap to fit the aesthetics of the new perimeter fencing. Services included architectural and structural design, electrical modifications to the existing lighting and security features such as surveillance features and gate operators. Mr. Hollingsworth managed the design process.
